Absolutely no dislikes. I used to have one with a plastic pipe but i didnt like the look of it. With the aluminum its a lot louder. I get better MPG too by +1. Combined with my new flowmaster american thunder kit my truck sounds good man =) I will however advise you to be careful with the plastic pieces. They break eassily. When installing mine a piece broke, I have no idea why its plastic but whatever. K&n gave me a free piece when i called them. just be careful when you put the air temp piping on it, also dont screw it in too far or it'll snap.

Why is the aluminum tube louder than the plastic one?

If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words, cars make people drive drunk, and spoons make you fat...

Maybe because it transmits sound (certain tones) better. Same reason symbols on a drum set aren't made of plastic, but rather metal. If you had 2 pipes and hit it with a hammer, the metal one would be louder than the plastic one. So it makes sense, I think. Although I haven't had experience with either on the RAM, this is just my speculation.
