Installed the K&N 63-1561 on the 2012 Express and it sounds like a raging beast when you gas it. I installed one on my Tahoe and it sounds really really mild compared to the Express. Anyone know if this is the norm?

K&N and Exhaust next

Exhaust is next but probably stay with stock pipes and go with flowmaster or a magnaflow muffler. Something moderate to go with the K&N lol

You do keep your stock pipes with a cutout. Plus you can control when it's loud and when it's quiet. Best of both worlds.

You can't tell it's under there just cruising at 65 or 80 on the interstate.

Sluggish

Just curious if anyone else is or has experienced any sluggishness on the bottom end after the K&N CAI install. Sounds really good but its almost like its bottle necked somewhere out of the hole? Also i run 93 octane.

I love how the K&N sounds it is the reason I have yet to do any exhaust on this truck. I really want to get some more exhaust flow but I do not want it loud when towing. I am still looking at getting Borla and making true dual with xpipe but that is for another thread.

It is loud on everyones and I think its even louder now that I am running premium tune. It sounds very mean and I like it that way.
