Anyone keep their truck outside in the snow?

Any suggestions as to a tarp-style canopy for it? all reviews are hit or miss. they either lack UV protection, or the zipper breaks, or the material is cheap.

Part of the reason I vowed never to buy a brand new truck is because my truck sits outside 24/7/365

But I bought my '17 brand new anyway because I liked it so much! Handled last winter just fine being outside the whole time.

The ole red beast sits out front every day. The only time I have any thoughts if there are twisters or hurricanes out of the gulf do to hail. Then I have to go to garage, pull out trailer and put in truck...

I don't have a garage, so my truck is out all the time. As were all of my previous vehicles. The snow and winter isn't a problem (other than having to get all of the snow off before driving), but the UV during the summer is the bigger issue for the paint.

Sits outside all the time......if it is going to hail, then inside it go's.

Insurance is expensive and I don't want a truck looking like acne.

Mine sits out all year.....it's too tall to fit in the garage :(

Mine too, sadly.

Looking at remedying that issue in the spring (have enough headroom to get a 1' taller door)

I knew this would be an issue, so when I had my house built I purposely put in 9' garage doors.

Unfortunately,...mine sleeps outside all year round as well.
It wouldn't fit in my garage anyways. I have a one car garage that is standard height, plus my Roush Stage 3 is parked inside all year round. :driver:

My truck just barely fits in my garage, but with everything else that’s in there, it sits outside most of the time.

As far as canopies/tarp shed things, I have a 10’ x 10’ “Round Top” brand storage shed(bought at Menards) that I keep the mower, tiller, and other yard implements in. It is almost 7years old(this will be its 6th winter). It is just now starting to show signs of UV damage on the outside of the cover(it’s a heavy tarp type material). Assembly was easy, and it has held up very well to some high winds and heavy snow falls.

No garage here. Ram Tough isn't just a slogan. It's important to be careful what you use to remove snow. I have a Sno-Brum. Even when the handle touches the body, I've never seen any marks from it.

After 16 inches of snow plus some drifts, it's fun brushing it off of the cover with an 8ft bed. Let's not even discuss the roof.

My truck is outside most of the time and frequently covered in snow. Paint still looks good. I think the hot sun will do more paint damage than snow so a good sealant with uv protection is probably your best bet for summer and just sweep the snow off and try to keep the salt and sand cleaned off for winter. Hail, well that's a whole other story. If you know it's coming strap your mattresses to the roof to protect the paint. Lol

Got the 20x8 from tractor supply. Thought it would fit. It does, you just can't open the door.
