Good Afternoon! I hope I'm not bringing up old news with my questions. I apologize if I am.

This is my second Ram and I am quite happy with it. However, on a longer ride this past weekend, we noticed a few blown/raspy speakers on my HK system (this was with Xmas music). I'm pretty sure they are the smaller ones on the passenger side as mama wasn't happy about their raspiness :) I am wondering if others have had a similar experience some of their HK speakers. If so, what's the remedy? Pony up for the HK replacements, or did anyone put something else in there? My '15 Sport had the 9 speaker Alpine system which I loved. Not crazy about the HK, but not sure mixing and matching is a good idea either. Any success stories to share?

Also, I've decided I want to get more out of my ramboxes. So I looked at the Mopar sight for organizers, etc. $241 for dividers and netting. I don't mind spending money if it's worth it... but thought that seemed a bit pricey at first glance (I could be wrong??). I am wonder if anyone has purchased that kit and found it worth the bank? Or has anyone come up with their own system for organizing. I run a small lawn mowing bidness and have a few tools, blades, trimmer string, batteries, air pump, bungies, etc just scattered throughout. I was hoping to get a little better organized this winter before the Spring rush. I'd love a way to get my tools hanging in there. Currently looking for a small organizer like one might have on peg board above his workbench. Can I screw into that plastic??? I was planning to use existing bolts/nuts if I could find the right size organizer. Any use a different material to custom cut dividers.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/suggestions!

I second your observation that the 4th gen Alpine system is equal to, if not superior to, the 5th gen HK systems. I've had both. My advice is to just replace the blown speakers.

I'd start by pulling one of the good speakers and measuring the resistance of it. You'll then know what ohm speakers you'd need to buy as replacements.

You could also call Crutchfield. They'll help you with direct fit replacements and any harness/adapters needed.
