If you drive 65-70 you should get over 20 mpg. I have a 2011 regular cab with 5 speed and 392 gears. Got 21.5 on most trips and 24.5 in Ohio with premium non ethanol gas.

I’m currently stained at NSA Lakehurst which is part of JB MDL, Joint Base Mcgire/Dix/Lakehurst. FC1 LPO of the Auto Hobby Shop.

We are planing on leaving at 12 noon on the 12 since we will be pulling our kids out of school and that won’t count against them. I’m not looking forward to the drive though WA and VA. I’m hopping for not much traffic but we will see.

We where going to leave on the 13th and get to FL on the 14th but that would mean dropping the doggy off and headed straight to Orlando...leaving on the 12th at noon gives us some more time before headed to Orlando.
O, so your the one that shakes my house when you guys are blowing stuff up over there lol, I live off of 37 by the Manchester police station. What is all that noise anyway?

Thank you for your service btw.

Thanks! I’m doing my shore duty so it’s pretty relaxed. I have another 1.5 years here then it’s back to a 5 year sea duty tour.

In the Carolinas, you'll get run over doing below 80 mph on 95.

My sea time was with the USMC, and finished enlistment on the JFK CV 67. Our rotations were 3 and 3.

My family and I went once a year ago, we only had 1 day passes. We had a blast and the kids have been asking ever since to go back. Now that we are better prepared for it I’m sure it’s going to be a great time for everyone.

Have fun. We went a few years ago. I’ve been quite a bit. If you have time try to eat at hash house a go go it’s on international drive. Awesome place to eat. Huge portions.

With winter grade fuel, you're possibly going to give up an mpg or 2.

From southern Indiana to Ft Walton, where my son was stationed, I'd get 19. But I drove 65. Ran with the flow where needed. Heavier tires and a front end lift cost me an mpg or 2.

A lot of highway mpg depends on the wind. If you catch a tail wind, you'll do great. If you hit a 15 mph headwind, be prepared for a big disappointment.

I had a washer and dryer on back during one of those runs to Florida. Didn't hurt mpg much at all. If I put a motorcycle on back, that really hurts mpg. I didn't know anyone bought a 645RFE after 2013.

Hand calculated, my guess is 16.75. Final answer....

Not with a 4x4 you didn't.

Yeah the extra weight of the 4x4 will eat some MPG’s but it’s worth having I think. Hopefully later today or tomorrow I can run down to the CAT scale and get a weight of the truck unloaded.

DO we get to guess on the weight as well? I'm in at 5580 (~1/2 tank gas)
