I have a 2011 Ram 1500 quad cab. Key Fobs have lock/unlock/panic buttons, no remote start. I have one I rarely use in my night stand in case I get locked out. The one I use daily, stopped working a couple months ago. I grabbed the spare, it was not working. I put new batteries in both, neither worked. Took my truck to a local auto shop for an oil change, they messed around with both fobs and got them both working. Not sure what they did, I was just dropped the truck off.

The normal fob stopped working again two days ago. Put a new battery in and it worked until today and stopped. Grabbed the spare today and the spare with a new battery is not working.

Anyone know what part "receives" the fob signal in the truck? Perhaps that is bad? Neither are factory. One came with the truck when I bought it used a year ago (no dodge logo). The other was from a local locksmith who programmed it.

Any other thoughts or suggestions? I tried to look through the other forums for something similar so I apologize in advance if this was already addressed. Nothing else with the truck is giving me any issues or has stopped working.

The Wireless Integrated Node (WIN) module is what you are looking for. Do a search in the forum for “win module.” Either the dealer or a vendor I used (I listed one in my thread some time ago) can assist. It is a 5 minute swap-out but requires new keys. You will still need a locksmith for the physical key to be made.

Your VIN number is needed to program the new WIN.

Good luck to ya!
