I have an 03 I believe with a manual tranny. Just noticed when doing an oil change the back of the transmission has a leak on the transmission itself. It is dropping a good amount of gear oil. Really new to Rams and tranny problems in general :) If any one could point me in the right direction it would be amazing!

It's probably the output shaft seal. Just drop the drive shaft and install a new seal. But without pics, this is just a guess.

Pictures would be good. I agree as stated probably a seal. Could also be a bad rear bushing and seal. A couple ways to fix it. Jack it up and while in neutral shake the front yoke, if there is a lot of movement then it indicates a bad bushing along with the seal. If it is relatively tight then just change the seal. Just changing the seal is easy. But the bushing can be a bit more of a job and requires pulling the tail housing. If you have the tools you can then knock out the bushing and install a new one or take the removed tail housing to a transmission shop and have them install the bushing and seal and save some money. Or just have a shop do the work and pay the bill which IMO is no fun at all.
