leather seat install

So I recently bought my 2013 ram SLT quad cab and looking to change out my cloth seats with leather. Anybody done this already? If so please post pics.

I just ordered custom leather seats from katzkin. Which is an oem fitment. I haven't installed them yet since I ordered custom so it will be a few weeks. I am sure someone else has done the same thing...

They can pretty much do whatever you want, I am thinking of getting a black face with perforated charcoal gray inserts and light gray stitching. Then placing ram logo on the back of both front seats. I don't know the vinyl to leather ratio I am going with yet. Most vehicles come from factory with leather inserts (where you actually sit) and vinyl surrounding it.

My interior is gray and black so I think it will work.

David, i'm going to PM you some info since they aren't sponsored on here. I am pretty sure they sponsor on one of the sister sites to the company challengertalk.com (I think..) You can order different colors piping, stitching, logo's and so on...but if you order anything that say mopar or any kind of mopar type of logo it is better to order through a dealer because other companies will have to charge a licensing fee. So i have a place to send you to.

I ordered black leather, dark slate suede for the center area of seat, blue stitching and Mopar omega M in blue and MOPAR underneath in Black.

If anyone needs help ordering the katzkins PM me I know all about them (I DO NOT SELL THEM) I ca help you get the color codes and embroidery codes you want with the locations.

Also when I say custom, there are some guidelines...check out the seat selector it will give you a head start...

Katzkin Interior Vehicle Selector (VIS)

Keep in mind there are tons of options that aren't available in the seat selector like an option for embroidery.

Mine will look kind of like this...INstead of the blue suede it will be dark slate. and instead of the MOPAR in white it will be black to match the brake covers.

Very cool, thank you. Install seems relatively easy, though I have a friend who has an auto/boat/rv upholstery shop, so I'd probably have them do it...

I am thinking gray leather, black double stitching, and red hash strippes on the upper panel in the back rest.

Sounds really cool! BTW, don't forget to consider the difference in heat from the sun, between black and gray.
I live in SoCal, and the sun will be on my seats almost every day.
Before I decide on exact colors, I am gonna have them send me swatches so I can make sure it's perfect.

I live in Louisiana, there is no escaping the heat. Period. Black Truck, Black Tint, Black/Grey Leather Seats...why not! My diet for the summer, prob sweat out 30lbs....

They have a barracuda leather, that is perforated also...but I just never like that look...

I also ordered a remote start...AC on full blast to cool it off...

Yep, perforated is not my thing either, reminds of 70s-80s Mercedes interiors.

Im really interested to see your black charcoal colorscheme. When do you plan on getting it in. I want to order mine in like a week or two. I am also debating between leatherseats.com and katzkin what say you?

I think I'm going to do the following: Combo seat style (two tone)
Black wrap
Barracuda leather insert (charcoal)
Ram logo on front seats (charcoal)
Contrast double stitching (charcoal)
Maybe black door panels

That sounds nice. I like it. I especially like the charcoal double stitch against the black, subtle and clean.

What do you like about the barracuda?

I like the perforation look. With the barracuda also, the charcoal appearance will be soft or strong depending on your viewing angle.

I plan on ordering next week. Will definitely post pics whenever it gets installed.

The katzkin factory is about 25 minutes from me, I'll probably go there and take a closer look before I decide on what I order. But I am definitely keeping with my gray-black-red theme.
This is one mod where I would like to see the colors and details in person. Not that I am picky or anything... Lol

It's your truck! Heck no you are not being picky. If I had the capability I would do the same. I am very picky when it comes to mine. I've been wanting a Ram for years and now finally have one. I'm going to be as picky as I can! Lol
