With the help of JJ at retroshop I did a projector retrofit with switchback LED boards. I used the HID harness and the quad to projector harnesses.

I fired them up and they were fine; parking, turn and headlights worked great. Then I bumped my panic button and since I've never hit it before, I pressed lock and unlock numerous times before realizing I should hit panic again to turn it off. Since then the parking lights aren't right. After checking all of the connections, I got the passenger side to come on and stay on. The driver's side flashes on then off for 3-5 sec for a total of 3 cycles. Then it stays off.

Strangely the turns still work fine. No bulb out warning. No hyperflashing. I will swap the LED drivers tonight to see if they are the culprit.

Any suggestions otherwise?

Ya I cant seem to pinpoint the problem. Sucks I have to wait til tonight to work on it. If the LED drivers aren't the problem, I am going to lean towards a bad ground. I didn't meter the passenger side one like I did with the driver's side. It was the same bolt on the opposite side of the truck so I assumed it would be okay.

I can hear my high school English teacher now "When you assume, you make an ass of you and me." Which is kind of funny since it should be "you and I" to be grammatically correct.

Hopefully you'll get to the bottom of it. Do you have an external PSU to bench test your stuff or not? I recently invested in a regulated 12v DC 360 30A device.

I do not. I typically don't have a need for one. But that's the way things are right, you don't need it until you need it.

Grats on the 1k club by the way!

Couple thoughts here:

Did you get/install the resistor with these?

Have you tried a battery pull reset? Sometimes "going black" cures all.

Finally...have you called the man himself, JJ?

I did install the led drivers and all resistors for the projector upgrade and hid relay harness. JJ and I have multiple e-mails and he is extraordinarily helpful. But there is only so much he can do from his end.

So I drive home with the headlights on and only my passenger side parking light on. Turns work fine. I get home and shut it off for five minutes. Come back out to troubleshoot and turn the dial (no key on) and both sides work. Locked and unlocked with key fob, still both worked. Started the truck and boom driver side off.

Swapped led drivers side to side, still driver side out. Checked internal connections between headlight and led driver and everything seems fine. Tried getting power reading from the led driver but got nothing off my cheap dmm.

Hungry and tired, I gave up for the night and put it all back together. Said a little prayer to the truck gods and turned the light dial. To my amazement everything came on. Started the truck, lights stayed on.

I have no idea what I did to fix it but it's fixed for now. Tomorrow might be a different story.

I have not pulled the battery yet. Next step if it continues.

Still working as of today. Maybe something wasn't fully plugged in or I had the wrong resistor pack to the wrong plug.

Thanks for the help guys.
