Hello, new here. I hope anyone here has some info to help. I put replacement led tail lights on my 2014 Big Horn. The light out error pops up when the lights are on and I step on the brake or use the turn signal. I have ordered a couple different error/decoder harnesses online but neither one fit correctly into the plugs. Does anyone know what kind of harness is needed that actually works?

I think they are 50w 6 ohm resistors.

Are they LED tails? Those part numbers look like normal tails for 4th Gen.

Which speedo display do you have.... the big 7" display or the small green screen one??? I've seen quite a few people that have this problem with the 7" display. Seems it is a lot more sensitive to the aftermarket LED taillights then the small EVIC for some reason.

I am sure your truck did not come with led tails originally. I believe 2014 does not need the canbus/decoder, just resistors. Did you put resistors in? Are your tail blinkers hyperflashing? I have a 2014 and it only required resistors to prevent hyperflashing and the bulb out error.

I don't have resistors. Not sure what to get that will fit correctly. The tail lights do not hyper flash, but the left turn signal will hyper flash in the display and on the door mirror for some reason.

99.9% of the aftermarket LED taillights have the resistors built in to them...

Maybe you do have resistors that came with it as stimpy indicated. I merely installed leds on stock lights, so was not aware aftermarket tails would all have resistors, but that does make sense that they would. If only left blinker is hyperflashing and right is not, then maybe it has a bad resistor in that one taillight. This could also explain why the break light is throwing a code as well. I could be wrong on the decoder, but I thought they were only needed for 15 and newer. Might be able to contact the manufacturer to verify they should be plug and play and if you have a defective taillight.
