20180808_162413.jpg I have factory LED taillights and bought some aftermarket LED taillights. Supposed to be simple plug and play. Well, one is barely lit and the other gives a light out message on the dash. Would adding a resistor help? If so which of these 4 wires on my factory plug do i tap into? Thanks

I don't think adding a resistor will help. You add a resistor when you have halogen bulbs and you switch to LED because the LED has less draw/load on the system and so the CANBUS think's that the bulb is going out because it's not pulling enough. The resistor adds resistance and so the load goes up making the CANBUS happy.

The fact that one is barely lit makes me think that it's not getting enough power, so a resistor wouldn't help. My guess is check the connections and pins, but I don't know too much about the factory LED situation. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can chime in and help out.
