So for us express guys we don't get the spiffy factory ran courtesy lights for the floorboard. So I installed my own...I know others have done this so its nothin new. Came out pretty good. It was a PITA by the way lol.

Edit: meant for interior section, oh well.

They're ran with the dome light so they work the same when opening door or turning map light on. Gonna install the back seats tomorrow.

That's pretty slick dude.... where did you tap into?

Is it under the dash somewhere?

The panel on the left end of the dash between the door and dash comes off. There's a green connector. The white/yellow wire is the power for dome light.

Nice job. I really need to get me some Orange LED's. I already have the lighting in the truck, but I want an Orange glow for the floors. That's the same spot I was going to tie into.

The tapping in was a lil tricky. There isn't a whole lot of room to work with to begin. But the issue I ran into was first I tried tapping into the upper portion of the green connector. It had power flowing but the wire via scotchlok I used didn't have power flowing for some reason. Weird.

I then, tapped into the bottom portion of the green connector, same power wire(white/yellow) and it worked great. Just fyi.

This is my next mod! I've been wanting to do this for a while and just gave me a kick in the rear and now I'm going to do it.

My RAM 1500st no frills truck didn't come with the footwell lights but I found out I had the factory connectors there already , I don't have pics but they are easy to find .
The drivers side is the only unused (two pin )conector just hanging there above the break pedal area . The passenger side ( same type connector ) just laying there under the glove box , I found it when I removed my glove box to install the cabin air filter mod .
I also had the plug for the hood lamp on passenger side with a close out plug in the connector . I purchased the footwell lighting kit , hood lamp kit and the cabin air filter kit from www.allmoparparts.com.
Not sure if I have the connectors for the back seat area or not , if not I may do the dome Lt wire in that green connector !

After installing these lights I would not recommend them only because the wire gauge was super small and a pain to work with. Other than that they worked great..really bright.

Just finished Backseats. Stupid picture is sideways.
Thanks for the link and looks good. Did the small wire break on you while installing, I'll be getting them tomorrow and put them in Saturday with my 52" light bar.

You and I both, people drive by in the neighborhood and ask "what's wrong with it now". I also have a troll who will cruise by in his 90's model Chevy and always say "that's why you don't buy a Dodge".
