Subject for attention.
Turned my dome light on last night while in my truck. Pretty sure I turned it off before exiting the vehicle and locking it up for the night. While driving to work this morning I noticed my dome light on. Checked the dash dim/dome light switch and no effect, made sure all the doors were shut. The light will go off after I exit the vehicle after about 30 seconds but comes back on as soon as I start it. Anyone have ideas what to check? I do have alphaobd if someone knows something to try in there.

I'd start by checking all your door ajar switches to make sure they are working properly

I am curious if the switch in the dome is stuck closed.

Possible one of the door sensors is corroded or just bad. If is more than likely it is the driver door, I would start there. Not sure how they work on that year, but if you take it off and just put wires together maybe you can test if it is bad by seeing if light goes off and stays off as soon as you connect them together. You did try just pushing the light to cycle the switch, right?

Turned out to be a finicky dash dim switch. Seems to be cooperating for now. Thx all!
