Ordered 3" spacers. Took them out of the box and measured them. They are 2.5" thick.. That ain't gonna raise the truck up 3" in the front is it?? Or will the new 3" longer shocks make it raise up that high or what?

And for the new shocks, do they have to have boots on them? Or will it be alright without them?

Yes, a 2.5" spacer will provide more than 2.5" of lift.
It will also increase the spring pre-load, hence moar lift than it's physical size.

You do not need to run shock boots, it's kind of a catch 22.
It's good to keep crap away from the shaft seals, but if you're playing around in the mud, the bot can just fill up with it. I'd NOT run them, but I think they are ugly.

Im in the same boat as you Blake.. Im installing the ' 2.5 suspension lift' on my 07 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi tomorrow. When i opened the box, I thought the front spacers didnt look right. They measure 1.5 inches. (no front shocks come with this kit) So Im curious as well as to how much lift this kit will provide. What product are you using?
Then again, I put a 2.5 leveling kit in my old truck 99 f150, with the torsion bar keys. an it actually lifted the truck that and some. 3.25 inches, and that was with the bolts almost falling out, not cranked up at all..
So.. well see!

We installed a 3" lift on a friend's FJ and the front and rear spacers were less than 2" thick and we saw 3.25 of lift. I'll work!
