...with the following ground to center of wheel well measurements:
38.875 front
41.75 rear
=2.875 inches rake

I am considering an HBS level and want to get close to level without squating like a Filipino at a picnic when I load up the truck bed; so, I was thinking about 2" HBS. The remaining .875" rake should be barely noticeable, right?
Any 2500 CTDs out there with the 2" or 2.5" HBS? Pics would be great!

Also, if/when I do this, can I fit 35s, w/o rubbing at full lock, when it comes time to replace my rubber? I do not intend to change out of the 17" wheels when I change the tires.

I would advise that you use replacement coils, I agree with either a 2 or 2.5" lift, as opposed to the regular 3" coils offered.

Going with a progressive rate coil and a nice Bilstein 5100 shock will give you a far improved ride, better control and a nice look! Unfortunately it will indeed cost a lot more.

The ideal beginner setup would be something like the Carli Starter Kit. This will come with 2.75" front coils, Bilstein 5100 series front shocks, and longer swaybar endlinks. These are progressive rate coils, so the ride should remain fairly close to stock and they will give you the stance you are looking for.

If you are looking to go cheaper with spacer, then I would go with the Daystar Poly spacers. Then run the same 2" longer front Bilstein 5100's.

35's will clear the fender with either setup, but they will most likely rub the control arms at full lock if using the stock wheels. The only way to clear the control arms with a wide tire and stock wheels is by running an offset control arm from Thuren. This is the route I took on my truck and am clearing 13" wide tires without any rubbing.

What these 2 guys said.

I went with a spacer at the front of my gen3, had no problems with it and was clearing 35's no problem. Ride quality wise I wish I would've gone with a spring lift instead of the spacers...

Saving up once is way better than dealing with junk while saving up again!

Can you PM me with a quote for both setups?
