So whats the conciseness on this? Affecting suspension up front? OK ? Good to go? What are you 2014 Owners doing. I dont have the cash at the moment for a spindle lift.. but at the same time.. i do not want to put strain on my brand new truck.

Seems to be a gamble. Some people have had zero issues with their ball joints and others have had them pop out with the same spacers or shocks. If you do go with a spacer I would stick with a 2" one and not a 2.5"

Don't put a spacer lift on it, that will trash your ball joints since it changes the down travel limit of the suspension.

Bilsteins and Rancho Quick Lift Loaded are fine with the stock control arms. Neither of those options will change the suspension travel limits materially, they lift via spring preload only.

Listen, all these guys that have these popping ball joint issues, are quick to tell you how to spend your money. I did a 2.5" spacer lift, rode it for a year, and had no issues. Just be careful when you install it because that seems to be where a lot of the issues come from. Whether they will admit it, or know it.

I'm going with the bilstiens on my 2014 express but, I'm just waiting for them to get off back order. I went ahead and bought the Zone uca's mainly because i do intend on being a little rough with my truck and would rather just have the peace of mind the ball joints shouldn't pop out. Total it was about $600.

I'm installing the 1.5" Daystar kit on my '14 2wd this weekend. I'll be back frequently to report the results. I've researched this thing til I can't stand to look at it anymore. If I end up with the ball joint issues so be it I'll just replace the ucas at that point. The bottom line is these trucks and any truck for that matter look better leveled. If it requires sacrificing a little ride quality and potentially having to put some after market ucas in it's worth it.

You mentioned a spindle lift, so I assume you have a 4x2? There have been ball joint issues with leveling kits on 2013 and 2014 trucks, but to the best of my memory they have all been 4x4. Just know that you may have to add new/better upper control arms/ball joints if the stock ball joints pop.

I've seen members with ball joint issues on 4x2 trucks.

Keep in mind you can buy UCAs for a 2012 and install them on your 2014 with no issues and it's considerably cheaper than aftermarket UCAs. Another thing to consider assuming your truck is 4x2 is that if you level the truck via a spindle lift such as the one from Maxtrac you will not need to replace the UCAs.

It's exactly what I concluded although I was late canceling the order for my UCAs so I ended up just keeping them along with the lift lol.

I have a '14 quad cab express and the rear sits up pretty high compared to other rams I see. What are all of the options for lifting the front up?
