When I bought my truck it came with upgraded wheels/tires from 33 to 35's. Also some of you suggested its had a level kit added and is what the dealer told me. I got the stock rims and tires with the purchase and am considering going back to them and selling these aftermarket ones.

Before I go through the hassle of changing them back does anyone have a picture of stoke 33's on a truck with a level kit?

Is it hard to remove the kit if it does look silly? And is this something I can do at home or do I need to find someone who does this work with special tools?

The reason is I'm tired of "climbing" into my truck. Just did a bunch of hay work and while the truck did perfect toward the middle of the day I got a little tired of constantly climbing into it. It seems that damn step is about 1 inch to tall LOL

Look at a power wagon. I think they have a lift with 285/70/17 tires(33's). If you like the way your truck looks and drives then I would try and look at different steps.

I put nerf bars on my truck because it was hard getting in and I'm on stock tires/wheels with no leveling kit. There have been times when I pick people up for carpooling in the morning (slugs, if you're familiar with the area), and it's funny to see some of the short women toss their bag up in and do the dance to prepare themselves to hop up and grab the pillar handle to climb in. I've had lifted trucks in the past that this stock truck feels just as high as.

I like the way it looks but I'm a function over appearance guy. New steps would work I'm sure but theres nothing wrong with the stock ones. Thanks for the suggestions, that's what I'm looking for.

Ive also ran into rubbing on unlevel ground and bouncing a little. Like a lot of weight in back and going over bumpy fields. Front wheels in a turn rub some, although I havnt been able to track down where they rub.

Off of that pic alone it looks like the downgrade in tire size should net you at least that inch. I doubt it will look weird with the level still in place. I'm thinking of putting one in and ride it until I get wheels/tires. Interesting your tires rub. Definitely want to avoid that, but your offset is a little more than tickles my fancy.

Ok, a lot more.

Yea wasn't my doing. I bought the truck based on the truck alone and having the stock tires/wheels to go to. Kinda digged the look for a bit but now its wore off. After the 10th eighteen year old boy told me I had an awesome truck I realized I did blend with the teens LOL

I have the same issue.....I bought my 2013 with 295/55/20 tires and a leveling kit. The truck was in perfect condition and I drove it for about a week. Got sick of the tire hum and my son wanted the tires for his silverado. I went back to stock 275/60/20 tires on the stock rims and it looks absolutely fine with the leveling kit. However, wifey complains about having to climb into the truck, and it does seem a bit top heavy in hard turns.

I checked into having the kit removed (spacer on top of the springs) and they want about $400 plus the alignment. I am still thinking but I am also worried about premature wear on ball joints and tie rod ends.

It does look neat, but, like you, I am more function oriented than cooling looking.......

Yea just went to lunch with the truck.... LOL I parked away from everyone else as I always do. Two "young guys" parked near me with their lifted trucks. I am clearly part of a club I didn't join rofl... My wife said its my mid life crisis. Damnit I wanted a Harley for the mid life crisis.

Ill take pictures of her now and then when I put stocks back on.

And yes, that damn HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

ps. I just turned into my dad. Minus well sell the truck and buy a Ford 350 king ranch dually with running board lights and fully convert to old man.
