So when I measure to the top of wheel wells thru the center of the wheel I get 36.5/39.5...3" diff. There is a flange on the bottom that runs the length of the cab just under both doors and I get 14.25/15.75. With the wheel well measurement the 2.5" would get me level..... What I don't want is the ass sag.
I'm going with the HBS kit. Am I right on my thinking with these numbers?

Here someone recently leveled their truck with a 2" HBS level. I believe they originally had 3" of rake. They came within .5" of being level. That is pretty close and truthfully Im going with the 2". I have 3" of rake. I've heard it's different on every truck. Im going with the 2" because I tow a lot (boat and trailer) and I dont want to have the a$$ sag either. If you go with 2.5" and you put any kind of load in the back of your truck...you will have sag. I just dont want to chance that. So even with 2" the guy got 2.5" of lift.....Seems odd but he did. http://www.ramforum.com/f40/finally...cs_general_install_experience_included-17712/ here is his thread I believe.

also here is one thread Jameson had. He did the 2" HBS originally but then added Bilsteins and a small Body lift. Look at the pic that says 2"HBS and you'll see the comparison. http://www.ramforum.com/f40/bilsteins_zone_bl_pics_nothing_major-29404/

Yeah and you could always get the Airlift 1000 helpers. They are like 100 bucks and look very easy to install. Look them up on youtube...

I have the 2.5 inch rough country kit on mine. You guys can check out the pics in my build thread to get a good idea of what a 2.5" level does to a stock Ram's stance.

I only installed the 2.5" lift on the front, I didn't put on the 1.75"on the rear because it would have left me with too much rake.

Just got the go ahead from the wife for the level kit. I must have spoiled her too much today to make her cave. 2" HBS.... Now to find somebody to install it...

Look at my most recent threads I got my 2" on and it left about .5" of rake

I have. Looks very nice. I jacked it up again and I liked the 2" look. Surprisingly so did my mom, daughter and wife.

Well since you are driving my truck I thought this might help.

very nice truck you have there. Glad to see the airbags in action. I purchased Timbren bump stops but with a golf cart in the back it still squats. I cant get my weight distribution to keep it level and I'm kinda worried on how it will squat bring the front end up.
