Alright fellas, first off thank you so much for the information on this forum. When it was time to upgrade from my econobox back into another pickup I knew the RAM 1500 was the truck for me. Power, style, interior features… this truck is class. I went to trade in my pos and my sales buddy, (friend in real life) used his dealership powers to find this truck at auction and made the trade in/purchase happen. Found exactly what I wanted, a 5.7L 4x4 2013 Black on Black Laramie with low miles. In my first thread to the forum where y’all were so helpful in guiding me through parts selection I promised to post my journey leveling/lifting my pickem’ up when I got it (about an hour ago). So without further adieux, the truck!

The plan: Bi’s Tri’s Levi’s! In a sense, raise it over stock, tires, alignment, maybe take off the steps and performance. Initially planning on buying front strut extensions but was dissuaded, thankfully, by the minds here. Settling on 2 Bilstein 24-187367 shocks on the front I plan on setting to 2.8. To avoid any bull nosing; 1.5” poly rear blocks from TGC.
Struts I found cheapest at JET, where you can user the coupon SAVE10 for an additional $10.00 off. Deny free returns to save a few more buck then added to cart.
Struts: $155.00
Blocks for the rear I found cheapest at TGC 1.5" for $35.00, lots of more expensive options but hopefully they do the trick.
Rear Risers: $35.00
I don’t want my cv joints crying every time I go through a culvert so I was told Mevotech gave some cheap peace of mind, add to cart.
UCAs’: $95.00
After that it’s just labor, I plan on a drive-way job at the moment but I may end up renting lift space at my local DIY garage.. figure 3 hours at $20…
Shop Time: $60.00
Back out of the garage to discount tire I want to use my stock rims to save a bit of cash and from my searching stock 9x20s’ don’t like 35s so I plan on going 275/65R-20’s. 34s over 35s may not give me much but it is what it is. Ride quality will be better any way as I plan on Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10s. Seem to get great reviews online and come with 50k warranty so they’ll do, inexpensive a plus!
Tires: $223x4 = $892.00
If all goes to plan, I’ll only be needing an alignment at this point so off to Groupon I found a shop just up the street offering 4 wheel alignments at $47 – my $10 discount code (takeoff or save10).
Alignment: $37.00 (just read fine print and a 4x4 is going to be an additional $20 so $57).

Grand Total: $1,294 My Happiness: Priceless.
Well that’s the plan anyway. I’m sure to shear off a few bolt heads and plow my fist through a break line or something so more to come but for now that’s the plan! A long way from my previous ehh $80 risers it’ll be legit! Ha sorry wifey! There are plenty of install pictures around so I won’t make a write-up but expect before, during after, photos!
