Reuse old strut mounts or buy new?

I removed most of the front end components today. Except the upper and lower control arms.

The original factory front struts/springs have 160,000 miles on them. I was looking at them today after removing them

I have these new Eibach Pro lift springs and struts. I’m inclined to buy new mounts & boots. What would you fellas do?

I have to bring these struts and new springs to a local automotive shop to mount everything onto the struts and coil springs.


I went back to rock Auto and I’m looking at the KYB mount package and bellows kit.

You didnt get them preloaded eh. They should come with a new upper and lower spring mounts. You dont need that plastic bellow piece either.

This is the Eibach Pro Lift kit. wasn’t pre-loaded. _

The front struts and coil springs did not. I already emailed Eibach in Germany. Asking if there are specific mounts and other components for these front struts?

Or whether the KYB kit on RockAuto will work?

Aahhhh, yea you will have to reuse the stock ones or get new ones.
The stage 2 kit comes loaded.

Stage 2 is not available for the 4th gen 1500's only 5th gen.


As for the strut mounts, any OE replacement will work fine. The Eibach Pro kit is designed to work with stock components.
