Soooo.... decided to change out my license plate bulbs to LED.

Ended up breaking the bulb. Tried using needle nose pliers to pull the base—no bueno.

Next step is to replace the socket (where the bulb inserts).

Dumb question... how does this disconnect?

bad memories come to mind... I cringe every time I change a a 194.
on an old 86 grand am, i went to pull a burnt out marker light, it shattered and sliced my thumb and index finger open.....

your easiest solution , scrape and break out the rest of the glass with a small flat screwdriver

Yeah...that was my concern too. Those bulbs seem like they are glued in.

Decided to buy a new socket and pinched to release. All good.

And my tail light glows now from the light...lol.
