My name is Chris Grimm. I've been in the Shelby/Turbo-Mopar scene since 1996. My first car was a 1990 Daytona (still have it). My current project is a 1988 Daytona Shelby Z that I'm building with a heavily modified 1990 Chrysler Maserati TC 16V 2.2 and a whole slew of other stuff to do track-day events and hopefully compete in the Silver State Classic one day. My goal is to top 200+mph for sustained periods and still be able to drive it home with a stereo and A/C. It's not going to be easy, but it wouldn't be fun if it was!

I've got a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fl and now work for Boeing in Everett, Washington as a Process Engineer.

I just bought my first 4-wheeled vehicle newer than 1993 and ironically it fits the description of the truck I used to want when I was in middle school. It's a '99 Ram 2500, 5.9 Magnum, 2WD, extended cab, green and silver.

I've been needing a truck basically since moving to Washington, and my hand was kinda forced a couple of weeks ago due to me wrecking my only other mode of transportation (it was a 2009 Honda Shadow 750...totaled :( ).

Anyway, I'm very happy to finally own a truck I've been dreaming about for 18 years. I don't plan to do anything major to it since I need it to be reliable, however I know of some modifications that will dramatically help the performance and economy of it that will be completed over time.

I'm very knowledgable about vehicles in general, but I find it's always good to have a more in depth knowledge about the vehicle you own as well as have a good resource to find out information you may not know. So, here I am.

I look forward to learning and participating!

Thank you for the warm welcomes!!!

welcome to the forum!!!! pretty sure i know you from turbododge

Yup, I'm on there. I haven't posted there in a while, but I am a member and used to be very active. Most of my time is spent on Turbo-Mopar these days. I do go back and check out what's going on every now and then, though. My days of being a very active member on 7 different car forums are pretty much over! LOL I found out that if I spend all my time talking about cars, I don't actually get any work accomplished!

What's your handle on there? What TD's do you have?
