Hey guys I have a 06 1500 megacab (solid front axle) with a 5 inch procomp lift on stock wheels with 315/70R17 procomp tires and I have some good rub when turning, what off set would I need to run 35/10.5r17 with no rub. I have no clue what wheels I want to run yet but no chrome haha

Strange how you're scrubbing with 35's on a 5 inch lift... I have -24 offset 17x9's and haven't had any issues. Only scrubbed at 3/4 turn when I had just 2 inches of lift up front with my 35x 12.50's.

Yeah it's odd I thought with the 5 inch lift it wouldn't rub, stock wheels but my step dad doesn't rub with the same tires on his 3500. It's annoying as hell I can't turn sharp at all it rubs was worse when turning right

Keep in mind 1500 mega cabs are really 2500 axle and frame

Your rubbing harder to the right because your track bar, even with the drop bracket, pulls the axle off center so it favors the drivers side

Backspace depends on the width of the wheel but you'll be ok with a 5" BS (or 4.5" but they will stick out more)

I'm running the same size tire with a 2" leveling kit. It doesn't matter how high you go, they'll you in the same spot on the lower control arm with stock wheels.
I've seen guys even stuff 37's on stock 2500

I would like 37's but 35's are way cheaper, I would like more width so they stick out so it will fill the fender flairs once I get them

I recommend getting an adjustable tracbar to help center your axle first. As for wheels, what style of wheel do you like? Can you post a picture of what you are looking for? I can help you find a bunch of wheels that will work.

aside for the track bar you should be able to adjust your steering stops.. its a bolt on the bottom of the knuckle... i did this on my old jeep to stop the rubbing effect... adjust left stop to stop rubbing on the right and adjust the right to stop rubbing on the left.. all i usted to do was remove the stop add a washer at a time till they didnt rub anymore
