Hey yall, I just recently bought a 2023 ram 1500. I believe it has a 2inch level on it cause it does clear 295/65r20s with no rubbing stock wheels. I was wondering if I added the bilistein front shocks and set them to 1.5 inch lift then added new upper control arms if I would run into any issues? Would be getting a rear spacer or new shocks. I want a small lift to get a little more clearance for off-road but, don’t wanna pay $1200 for a full 3.5 inch lift and worse ride quality when I already have the level on it.

Thanks yall

Sure you can add bills and control arms, but you will have to remove the current leveling kit. So if you are looking to do this for more lift on top of what you already have, it aint gonna happen.

Whats the current leveling kit? Maybe it already has bills installed? If its just a steel spacer, definitely replace it with the bills.

So it’s got I believe a 2 inch leveling kit maybe 1.5 inch strut spacer. So I was thinking to get to a total lift of 3.5 inches I could add the blistering and set them to either 1.7 or 2.2 to avoid installing the preload spacer that comes with the rough country or ready lift set up.

The leveling pucks have been known to cause issues long term. I would remove the pucks and just run the bilsteins. 3.5" also would give you a nose high look, is that what you want? we have 3.5 kits that will also lift the rear slightly to make it sit level. Do NOT add leveling struts with the strut puck spacer.

With that said, how do you use the truck? Street only, off roading, towing, etc...? Why more lift, looks, want to run bigger tires, etc...? that would help me recommend the right kit for you

Message me and we can discuss options and pricing that will fit your needs and budget.

Best advice I can give is to do a 4” lift and be done. You will chase problems and replace cv’s and front diffs over time costing way more than the lift will cost.

Ok that sounds good thanks for the replies yall. I definitely want the truck to sit level. I want the lift cause it looks better and I could use the extra clearance for off-road use on mostly rutted dirt roads. No rock crawling or anything just some pretty rough dirt roads on the ranch. I had a 6 inch lift on my last truck and don’t want to go that high again.

Leveling kits with new struts work, but if you want 3-4” of lift, then go right to a full kit with drop brackets up front. Period. Theres no way around it.

Sounds like you want more than a leveling kit, but dont want a full 6” kit. But that still requires a full on kit.
