Hello all - I have a similar question. I have a Westin HDX grill guard and purchased the Westingwiring1.jpg 10" dual light bars for it. The switch that comes as part of the wiring harness has two wires going to it - see wiring diagram photos. I want to connect to one of my factory aux switches, which have a single wire connection. Seems like i would connect the white + wire from the Westin switch to the factory pigtail, and maybe ground the blue but not sure - electrical, especially on these late model vehicles, is not my specialty - any help is appreciated.

I have been trying to figure out where that is. I have the plain radio with the 5" screen. TIA

You program from the dash evic, it's under commercial then enter four zeros. Should become self explanatory from there but if not ask away :)

Theoretically you could take the relay's out as the factory switches run off a relay. I did not because I didn't want to screw up the lights original make up. My switch that came with the lights had a three way switch, middle position lit it up, the other two positions ran either the DRL of the full light bar. So the middle wire was hot, I did not need that, tapped it up and secured it. The other two became the switched wires from the aux switches. So now aux switch-1 runs the DRL lights, aux switch-2 runs the full bar.

So you need to figure out which wire(s) need to become hot, make sure there is a ground and wire the relay as pictured.

It's on the dashboard (where your gas mileage etc is), not the radio.

Hey Firewall,

I just ordered an RC Lightbar with DRL, but my truck didn't come with the AUX switches. Do you think I could just find a wire that comes on with the ignition and tap into that for the DRL to be always on when the truck is running? For the normal, bar lights, I have a kick switch on the floorboard that's the old, high beam switch from the 70's and want to keep that.

Hey Attila kun,

did you by any chance hook the DRLs up to a switched on connecter in the fuse box. Iv got the Auxbeam 8 switch panel and I’m trying to figure out how I can have the DRLs on a separate switch as the main spot lights any help would be greatly appreciate it.. thank you
