I want to install a light bar along with a bull bar on my 2012 CC Laramie to hide the dent in my lower bumper. My truck decided to take a trip downhill (see attachment) without me in it and took out a mailbox denting the lower bumper. I would like to see where you all placed your switches and maybe some suggestions on installation.

Mine are on the side of my center console. Easy to access and then I only had to cut holes in a cheap panel in case I messed up or ever need to remove the switches.

I did this exact setup but just with 3 smaller rocker switches. Totally out of the way and like he said, If you mess up or if anything happens it's a super easy and cheap to replace

Moved mine next to the wheel. Had it mounted on side panel wife turned it on and killed the batt. Now I can see if it's on.

I did some small push button switches in the blank where the trailer brake controls go:

The Rzrman custom lightbar switch install!! Lol

I did the same thing with my supplied switch/harness. But a year later the cheap Chinese two sided tape failed. I replaced it with 3M two sided tape. The freaking 3M stuff refuses to stick! So I guess I'm gonna install some sort of rocker switch. Keep the pics coming!:happy107:

This pretty much just looks like it belongs. How hard was it to get them all in there? My 4wd shift is in basically the same place (I have a column shifter) and if I add a light bar or train horn or anything that requires an aftermarket switch, this is pretty much what I'd want to do.

Mine are stuffed in the cubby.

How did you get the switches to stay attached to the hole? basically, what are they mounted on and how is the plate attached to the center panel?

I am doing the same thing with 4 smaller rocker switches in my missing 4x4 cubby hole, and I am trying to figure out what to use.

The switches set into the OTTRATTW Two Switch Bracket pretty much slid into that cubby with a press fit. The piece above the bracket is cut from a piece of black plastic notebook cover epoxied to the back of the switch bracket.

The only thing holding the whole shebang in place is friction, but it hasn't even wiggled in 3 years. If I ever remove it the only sign it was there will be a hole for the wiring drilled way in the back of the cubby.

Thanks! Your inverter is much lower than mine. I only have a small bump above it and then the vent is right above that. i am using the cubby on the driver side, but not the Ottrattw switches, just amazon rocker switches. I drilled the whole in the bottom of the cubby hole, under the little insert that fits in there. I am just looking for a way to keep my switch plate (abs plastic board) from falling out.

Cut some foam pieces, epoxy them the the back of your plate and press into place?
