truck is a 2008 dodge ram 4x4 qc

i know what the semi tick is from lifter noise i think i have that and it don't bother me.. i had a loud ticking from underneath and found the exhaust manifold bolts one on each side had broken... had that fixed.. now i am hearing a light knock or maybe a taping noise from the passenger side from underneath the truck or from fender well.. it is only on a cold start. when its warmed up to regular temp it sounds just fine.. i don't notice any performance issues.. not slugging, not bad mileage at least for the hemi. I've been getting around 13-14 on the highway but i drive 85 to 95 a lot.

as far as oil and filter past couple times its been a top quality oil and filter from napa that my mechanic does.. i don't use full synthetic but usually quaker, or pennzoil... i change me oil every 5 thousand miles... book recommends every 6 thousand so i assume thats ok.. truck has 107.500 miles roughly... mostly highway miles. this truck is my first vehicle that i actually bought so i think i get paranoid when i hear sounds. i know its kinda old and has some miles on it and won't sound like a 2015 would sound... but a tapping or knock on warm up doesn't sound normal to me... but if its piston slap if read its not as serious being chevys have that problem a lot and doest effect how long the engine would last.

Well it isn't a rod, as that sound doesn't stop until fixed or it grenades.

thats good... right?

i can't tell if it starts right away or not... i have a louder than usual dual exhaust. and my fan runs higher for about a min or so but when the fan slows down i can hear it, when the engine gets warmer the tapping or knocking stops and it actually sounds pretty good.

check the passenger side rear exhaust manifold bolts, sounds like 1 or 2 might have snapped and you have a exhaust leak at the manifold..you can pull the fender well cover and have access to it..since the sound goes away once warmed up I bet this is your issue...

I have already checked that and had new gaskets and all the bolts replaced about 2 weeks ago as stated before.
