I have a 2010 dodge ram 1500 slt 4.7, the trucks smokes only on a cold start very little makes a ticking noise from the front passenger wheel well area has 180k miles did a oil change high mileage full synthetic after the truck warms up you can’t even hear it run, but I cannot pinpoint this tick so sometimes it sounds like it’s sounds like it’s coming from the bottom also have a misfire but goes away when warm replaced bank 1 sensor 1 and still high. On the truck first start in the morning I’ve been smelling faint oil and gas burn done the top 8 plugs. Haven’t done the bottom plugs it’s duel plug 4.7.

The 4.7 has a completely different valve train, timing chains, idlers, purchase a mechanic stethoscope and see if you can pinpoint the noise, there was a bigtime engine sludge problem, 180,000 allot of miles, smoking on startup, valve seals, worn piston rings, If the rest of the truck is in good shape, maybe a rebuild is in order.
