I did this install a few months ago and figured I would share as could not find anyone else who had done it.

This is the Autogem 850037192250 2019-2023 RAM Lighted Tailgate Emblem - Black Tailgate Emblem - Officially Licensed by Mopar

Can be found on amazon and ebay. It will fit 19-26 despite their 19-23 listed.

I had taken a lot of pics of the project but unfortunately lost most of them during a phone swap.

Overall was not difficult for me to figure out how to disassemble the tailgate and route the wiring, but for most I am sure it would be very difficult. The MFTG is far more complex than if installing on a regular tailgate as for the regular tg it would be very easy.

It can be done on the MFTG and suggest grabbing a splitter and an extension 4 way to route into the tailgate rather than cutting and splicing.
3 parts I used:

Cool. I put the parts in my cart while I think about it. Did you have to drill into the tailgate to run the wire? I've never debadged a truck so I'm assuming the other emblem is just stuck on there.

the stock badge is both heavily taped on and clipped in, so I masked all around it and then heated from the inside over and over and gently pried the stock one off. Take your time and don't overheat. Once off more than likely will need to clean off remaining tape and then surface prep for new one that is same double-sided tape which I forget if it had locating tabs or not.

As for the wire on the emblem yes will need to drill out a hole large enough to pass through the lead wire.

Routing the wiring up and into the driver side of the mftg is tricky and even more so if you care about everything being hidden and clean. It's a bit hard to try and explain using words but in the far-left bottom corner of the mftg frame when the door is open you will see the factory wiring and routing. Disassemble that and feed your wires through. You will need to dedicate a good part of the day to do this project as the stock emblem removal takes a while (should you care not to scratch and f up the paint that is) and then routing the wiring into the gate takes a while too along with disassembling it correctly.

If installing on a traditional tailgate, then install is far easier and faster. Ive done this same emblem on my 4th gen so have experience. It's easier in that the wiring just routes the same way as the existing and you have full access, also opening the tg to access inside takes seconds. The emblem removal and install is the same either way.

I'm trying to recover all the pics I took to document a how to, so hopefully I will be able to, but hope this helps some.

Helps a bunch, thanks. I have the standard tailgate and have removed it before so I know how and where to run the wiring. Would probably just run it behind my hitch and bumper and plug it in directly. I just wasn't sure if I would need to drill for the wiring.

Tapping into the trailer harness for auxiliary reverse lights on my 2025 Rebel caused some trailer connection alerts on the dash. I believe this is an issue with the new 25/26 module communication architecture. I tapped into the taillight connector with a custom pass through harness to power the auxiliary reverse lights.
