I have read threads about headlights and see various things. I have the projector style headlights and they suck!

I liked the HID's in my old jeep but I didn't like how hot they got and I have seen a thread where someone says they can melt the back of the headlights, is this true?

Also I have these phillips HIR bulbs in my jeep right now will these be just as good in the projector style headlights if I just got those?

I would give the HIR's a try. The OEM projectors head light run regular halogens and the HIR seems like it would make a difference there if not going full HID. Interesting, I haven't heard of HIR (Halogen Infrared) until you mentioned it and then did some inerweb searches. Seem like the HIR bulbs would be pretty efficient and more usable light output.

When I decided to change my lights was because I didn’t like the yellow color (it really suck) that’s true so I went and bought led lights for it . I got them at vanquish auto. They are bright and the best I was able to do is make fit the entire kit inside my dust cap (I’m in particular hate all wiring hanging out so these made my whole installation a lot easier.
Here is the website I got them from in case you need them.

3F6C84CB-F91F-41FC-ABA0-738D371534FB.jpeg I had the blacked out projector lights with halogens and yes, they sucked bad. I put leds in them and wasn’t really impressed.
I wound up getting TYC chromed lights with halogen bulbs. Waaay better output, mostly due to TYC low beam lens is a clear lens. The OEM low beam lens are a bit hazy.
