Good evening! I installed a 4 in rough country lift a month or so ago and really hate the ride quality didn't expect it do be great but the lift is put together nicely and I figured I'd get some fox or king shocks or something down that line but now I can't seem to find shocks any suggestions where to find good quality ones!

And i am really interested in getting a locker setup for the front diff but can seem to find any on any corner of the internet..are they not available for a 2004-2010 ram 1500 front diff! Thanks!! fd298e83519227c48d2651102955574f.jpg

I was curious to see what components the kit uses to do the lift, though I don't see a 4" Rough Country lift for this truck. Just keep in mind that shocks are not the only thing that determine the ride quality. Generally you should be more concerned about the spring rates and geometry as they are main thing that controls ride quality. Shocks can affect it some but there main purpose is just controlling the spring movement. The other thing I would look at is tires. Did you put new tires on it at the same time as the lift? I've seen several occassions that along with the lift they went from the factory light rated tires to a heavy E-rated truck tire with high pressure. The tires can definitely affect ride quality also.

Ride quality in general is one of the most subjective measures imaginable, you could have three people drive the same truck, one call it perfect and the other two hate it for diametrically opposed reasons..

And of course build quality (of the shocks or other components) is more objective, but you could have a well built shock deliver ride quality you don't like.

So what do you have in the front?
4” N3 struts with no top spacer?
Or stock struts with a 4” top spacer?

how about the rear? Stock shocks + spacer or N3 struts + spacer?

what size tires do you have now? And what’s your measurement in rear from ground to fender?

Damn dude that setup is not supposed to drive like crap. We have people who swear on those N3 shocks as something nice for a street truck. What do you feel the issue with the ride quality is ? too hard, too soft ? and where Front or rear or both ? I can see they now have a bunch of options with those N3 struts in stock lenght for those who simply want a stock replacement as quick struts, then a QL strut in +2,+3,+4 and +6" struts, plus in the rear you have twin tube N3's or V2 monotubes, and plus they have recently added performance coilovers and shocks as well. The N3 line is supposed to ride nice and easy on the street so i'm surprised you're having issues with it.

Ok so the ride is quite nice one the highway and around town and few random bumps on slight off-road...but we have a few frost heaves on the way to town and it bottoms out really bad and just feels bad! The back feels great it's the front that or not the best..I would like a setup that would soak up medium hits and smooth out washboard and little bumps in the trail!

Yours options are limited at least when it comes to struts without the spacers cause you have 4" full assemblies already. I'll Keep those as your backup set and I'll go either to try those new performance RC coilovers or I'll say **** it and go straigth for the Fox 2.5 COs since Fox have them already for 4" lift.
