Ok so here I am dreaming and figuring.
After diving in to redo my plenum, I discovered that my cam was shot.
And I am pricing long block 5.2s on the intertubes. Cause heads+cam$$ and no experience, might be cheaper to put a longblock in then mess around with it.
Then the thought hit me like a sack of ringdings on a rode trip.
If I am going to order a long block, can I just get a 5.9 instead of the 5.2?
I think it's been said the puter will have to be changed to a 5.9 or maybe?
What would the hive do in my situation?
I would need to know if the earl pan, valve covers, intake and what not are swappable.

I am going to be laid up in a few weeks cause they are going to gut me like a fish and move things around and I really should not be focused on this project.
So, asking silly questions and day dreaming for no real gain to keep my mind off other stuff and declining to get stuff done I need to do before hand.

Honestly, I don't see the point of installing another 5.2. The fuel economy is almost the same from what I've seen, other than that, there is no benefit to running the 5.2 in my opinion. If I were in your position, I'd get the 5.9. I wish I'd got one in the first place.
