Hello, fellow Ram enthusiasts! I'm Tony, and I hail from deep in East Texas, though I work in West Texas currently. My first Ram was a 2001 Ram 1500 Hemi V8, and I loved that truck. I fondly remember my wife and grandmother shrieking from the back seat when I lit the tires up pulling out of the dealership during the test drive. I was immediately hooked! I kept it until my family got too big to safely transport, and was forced to trade it in on a Chevy Traverse with 3rd row-seating.
Fortune smiled on me when my grandmother informed me that she wanted to sell a 2003 Dodge Ram that she bought a few years ago, and I jumped on it. It's not a Hemi, but I'll get over it. I'm picking it up this weekend and I can't wait to begin restoring and customizing it. It's going to be a budget build, but I'm still excited to get back into a RAM and see what I can do with her. My oldest daughter has said that she wants a truck when she's old enough to drive, so maybe it will be passed on to her in a few years.
I'm sure I'll have tons of questions considering this is my first project, but I'll be sure and use the search function liberally. Anyway, pleasure to meet you all, and I look forward to hanging out! (was going to post pics, but it wouldn't let me)
