First Post! Well my 07 F150 finally bit the dust. So I have spent quite a lot of time initially looking at certified used F150s, and I liked them. But I was always last to the party and basically looked as the truck I had in mind drove away. I wasn't quite ready or planning to buy new yet. Finally I had buddy who is a life long Chevy owner ask if I wanted to look at them. When we got to the dealership I was pulled more into looking at their Fords, and then Rams and never even opened the door on a Chevy. I immedately fell in love with the interior and I already knew to look for 8 speed. What I didn't realize initially was the 3.92 gear difference. I just happen to catch it as a option on one of the stickers. So little more research, and I had a better idea of the options I wanted. My wife also liked the interior over the F150 in the same price range. Since we'll be pulling a boat or trailer often I also wanted the comfort over my 10 yr old truck, that everyone complained about riding in.
In the end I had two dealerships really trying hard to get me basically buy from. I ended up with a '17 1500 Laramie with almost everything, but sunroof.
