Hey everyone. I'm looking at buying a 2007 1500 4WD with a 4.7. I'm wondering if this would be a good truck to mount a snowplow on. It will get a lot of use with these Minnesota winters and having a long driveway, may even do some side work for extra coin. Anyone have experience with mounting a plow on one like this? Thanks for your input!

Welcome to RamForum.

Obviously it depends on how big that blade will be but I don't think the 4.7L engine will provide the torque you need for plowing.

If I recall correctly, RAM does not officially support putting a plow on the 1500s. Only on the 2500 and up models.
