Looking for stereo recommendations

Oregon had a new law go into effect the first of the year. If you are caught so much as holding your phone it's a $999 fine and a 3 year suspension so I'm looking for a stereo upgrade that will let me leave my phone parked in my pocket while still being able to get work done on the roll.

I'm looking for a stereo with good sound that won't break the bank for my 2003 ram 2500. I need radio, navigation, back up camera, CD or Bluetooth for music and the ability to send and receive texts with voice to text.

Any recommendations?

Yup! I would either go with an Alpine, Kenwood or Pioneer deck.
I am saying that based entirely off of my past experience with all 3 brands.

I am looking at a Alpine 9" that actually sits out of the dash, like the floating iPad look every OE is going over to. I think with the dash style on the '04 it'll look great. With Android Auto / Apple Car Play you don't need built in nav, just run it off the phone.

And that's about all I have to say about that.

I put one of these in my 2004 3500.

Awesome radio for the money in my opinion. It does everything.

Don’t know what kind of phone you have, but the CarPlay android auto is a game changer.

I’m a big fan of Garmin stand alone GPS units, but if you have signal it doesn’t get better than the Waze app on a busy highway.
