Tire brand maybe. It’s been that way since leaving the dealership if the slightest moisture on the streets. The 3.92 probably contributes too.
With a two-wheel drive, I'd rather have a locker than LSD for my usage. The LSD in the RAM 1500 is a weak point wear item if you do any real towing. I would go open or locker. I have the open and for towing/sand/mud that I see it is perfect and will never wear out.
If you do any "real" off-roading or whatnot get the locker.
This is my opinion and I stand by it.

Good info. The trucks I’m looking at have the ram box and tonneau cover.I just got a 2026 Tungsten two weeks ago, the H.O. six is crazy quiet and gets up and goes. Sound wise, it doesn't come close to the V8, but cest la vie. One thing to be aware of, especially if you get a Rambox bed, is you want the silver rails in the bed if you're going to get a tonneau. I didn't know that the black rails (which apparently are standard) vastly limited the tonneau choices - and the silver rails are on huge backorder (I was quoted ~30 weeks.). Diamondback HD/SE tonneaus work with the black rails with the Rambox, so I went with their SE. That's the only thing I'd say to look out for, and not sure if it matters to you or if there's any special need for the regular bed.
