So I have a 2015 Ram 1500 5.7 with the clutch fan delete and I live in Denver Colorado. It’s been very cold this winter with -6 degree days. I remote start my truck every morning for about 10 minutes but these past few cold days my coolant temp will not go over 185F even at idle and sometimes drops lower than that at highway speeds. Also the cabin will not warm up. I’ve researched a little and I’m thinking it’s the thermostat. Help please! I hate the cold!

Do you have a 180 or colder thermostat in place? With a 160 t-stat in mine,it'll still show 185 on the gauge, but you sure won't be warm inside it at -10F at -35F you'd probably freeze to death, welcome to Alberta, lol

Dang that’s cold!!! I have the stock 203 thermostat which is why I’m thinking it might be stuck open. I’m waiting for it to get warmer to see if it’s really that or just the cold weather.
Thanks for your reply

If it is stuck open, the old school trick is to give the thermostat housing a swat with a hammer/wrench etc.,don't hit it hard enough to dent the housing though. It might work or it might not,but it's worth a try

It's been single digit here the past few days and my 4 cyl Jeep won't warm up above 100F just idling, it'll even cool off after driving if I sit in it (waiting for my wife to get out of work last Monday) & stop blowing warm air. The thermostats are fine I think it's just air cooling like an old Beetle, not like the few drops of fuel it takes to idle make all that much heat.

Maybe that's going on with your Ram?

It's most likely a thermostat.

If it's an over cooling issue from low ambient temperatures, the winter front for the EcoDiesel will work on the gas trucks also. The Mopar cover with adjustable openings: 82213959AC
