I'm wanting to have a limited slip differential installed in my two wheel drive 2015 Ram 1500 and having a hard time finding a shop to sell me the diff/parts & do the labor.

I spoke to a couple dealers, they want $2500+

Also called several independent drive line & 4x4 shops without much luck. I only found one that seems to know what they're doing with the RF 9.25 rear, they suggest a Yukon Dura-Grip for around $700 installed. Other shops I called either tried to sell me diffs that aren't made for this rear end or flat out said they weren't interested in doing the work.

Has anyone had a LSD installed in the newer RF rear around the Phoenix area by a shop you can recommend? I may go with the Yukon but thought I'd ask here to see if I could get any input first. Thanks.

I have never dealt with them, but my buddy had a ton of work done at Chuck's Speed Shop in PHX.

Thanks for the tip. I called them and they need some info off the differential but I haven't had a chance to crawl under the truck yet.

Here you go...

Mopar Limited Slip Differential for 2011-up Ram 1500 9.25ZF Axle

We even include a free master install kit for free with this unit. Just take this to any drivetrain shop/dealership, and they should be able to install it for you. Labor usually runs around $350-$500 for this job.

I spoke to one shop about this and they were willing to do the install but insisted I need new gears as the originals have 22K miles on them.

If I replace the gears I would prefer to get rid of the 3.21's and install OEM 3.92's - is there any reflashing/reprogramming needed if I swap to the lower gears?

They are just trying to up sell you. Your gears are fine, but I could see them saying you need new bearings. New bearings are in the master install kit that we include with this differential.

Having said that, there is nothing wrong with upgrading to 3.92s while you are in there. We have these in stock as well for only $349.

OEM 3.92 Gears for 9.25ZF Rear Axle 2011-up Ram 1500

I kind of figured that they just felt the need to pad the bill some. So, if I go to 3.92's is there any computer reflash, etc. needed?

No tuning necessary for a gear swap in these trucks, so you are good.
