Considering trading up to 2022 Rebel- made in Michigan but dealer mentioned something it came from Canada so warranty won’t transfer. There’s only 22k miles on it. There’s got to be some kind of warranty right? We always get an extended warranty on vehicles and always used them! What kind of warranty would I expect to get if purchased?
What’s this situation called? Made in USA for Canada, then “deported” back? Is it common? There’s no price advantage.

yes this happens, you can run the VIN to see where the vehicle was built for. At least your dealer warned you ahead of time, there have been a few members in the past who found out after the fact.

Tell the dealership if they want to sell the vehicle, a warranty needs to be included or pound sand

As @crash68 said, it happens. Usually they were fleet truck or 3rd party lease. A dealer or 'wholesaler' buys them from auction, moves them to US. They make money from exchange rate.

As he mentioned above, the dealer or importer needs to get warranty moved before importing it. Sometimes you can, but often they will 'void' the warranty.
You might be able to get extend Mopar warranty. As Crash mentioned don't buy it unless you know 100% it has some kind of warranty, and you might want also check they converted it to US else you have do it yourself with AlfaOBD.
