How hard is that going to be to put back in once you have it all put together? Are you going to have to pull the seats?

so today i got the rings mounted and a top put on to make sure everything was even. I also got all the seams caulked and ready for fleece. So for ***** and giggles i threw the fleece over it to get a feel for what it will look like.

for a single cab a good set of 3 way 6x9s and possibly some dome tweets or 3" speakers should be fine. as long as you have enough power to them to equal the bass without blowing the speakers. if you want to go all out and throw ass tons of speakers in it i would recommend crossovers. that way your 6x9s arent getting the same signal your dome tweets are......also i dont know what amps you are going with but a cap may be a good idea as well.

well i got some more resin today a gallon. So i got the other side covered in resin and started to glass the first side. Glassing went pretty smooth not to hard to do. i found out i need to use a little less hardner and also work with smaller batches of resin. when i first started with the fiberglass i mixed 16oz of resin and by the time i got to the last 40oz it started gelling up on me. so from there on out i made it in 8oz batches. The only issue i had with the glass was i kept getting some airbubbles and cant figure out how to stop getting them. Should i sand down the airrbubbles before i start the next layer? Also i am using fiberglass mat but i also have a fiberglass cloth which is smoother than the mat. Can i use the cloth also or just the mat?

I would stick to mat, its much thicker and would probably be better for a sub box like this. As for the air bubbles I would probably sand them down

Don't you put body filler over the top now? Then sand that? All the videos I've seen on YouTube of people making sub boxes have done that

yea eventually i will but i still have another 4 layers on the outside and 2 on the inside to do. The more layers the stronger the box. i will have a total of 7 layers between the glass and fleece then bondo to smooth and paint. So it should be strong as hell when im done.

On a side note i am tring to figure out how to paint my box. i dont want to just paint it black i want some type of desing but cant think of anything. Anyone got any ideas?
