Make Hood Scoop on 2011 Ram Functional

Here is the inside of the hood.

Looking at the left side, inside of the hood.





Looking straight in at the scoop inside the hood.

You werent joking when you said little amount. But its still a decent amount with a little fabbing of something to seal the air from going past it in those corners that lead to the engine bay.
But what can be used? I think I will have to play around with something.

But man, great pics.

If you seal up that left side and cut a small hole in the middle youd be able to vent directly into the Vararam scoop....for those already with a Vararam

I'm sure you can hit the areas with some fiberglass and route the air directly to the filter. block the left and the back and sides. It sure is possible.

Thats a good thought. Exactly like the 3rd gen SRT hood. Refiberglass the hood and you could redirect the air straight to the Vararam. All the time waiting for the vararam wasn't worth the chunk of change for it.

if you dont have a catch what about when it rains where is the water going

ill have to check when it rains and see if it really catches water. I really think the scoop is too far back to really catch any real air though. Same as the srt hood. My car had a ss style scoop but the hood was more curved to the front so it caught more.
