Maximum Gb for USB Media

I've gone through my manual, and run searches here, and can't find the answer. I have the basic Uconnect with the 5" screen.

I have my music separated by genre - country, rock, jazz, etc. - on 3 separate flash drives of 8 Gb each. I'm tired of pulling one and replacing it when I want to listen to new music, so I've decided that I'm just going to transfer all of it to one flash drive and then just pick the genre from the settings menu, but I don't know how large of a drive the USB Media ports will support. I have a spare 32Gb drive which will easily handle what I have, but I don't want to go to the trouble of transferring all that music just to find out it doesn't work.

Anyone now how large of a flash drive I can get away with? TIA

I don't know the "max" but a 32gig will work, pretty sure I've used a 64 in mine before as well (2016 2500).

Thank you. Since my last post I found a few other websites where they say a flash drive up to like 128Gb will work, but the larger the drive the more problems arise. Although it appears a 32Gb will work all the time.

A little late reply but I tried a 64 and it worked but had a glitch here and there. I use a 32 now w/o issues.

That's one of the many things that have irked me with these radios. Not a bit of info in the truck owner's manual or the UConnect manual about flash drive or filetype requirements or how to make the playlists and cover art to work.

32 GB flash drives have worked for me, too. Got all my CDs on them (almost 4,000 songs) with room to spare.
