mesh grill insert question

I'm planning on installing this grill insert

I know these black pieces are have to be a removed to install. my question is will they effect anything because it have the active shutters

I believe Those are there to direct airflow to center of radiator. I wouldnt think with them not installed on your new grill it would make a ton of difference but you may run a bit hotter?
Other more knowledgeable members I'm sure will chime in
