Hey guys , I recently purchased mevotech UCA'S from Rock - auto , I was planning on powdercoating them Flame Red to match my truck and to protect against corrosion .
After talking to my buddy @ work who does powdercoating on the side I'm not so sure . He said it would require baking @ 400°f for 4 hours .
I'm afraid those Temperatures may weaken the elastomers on the UCAs attachments? ?
What say you ??

Has anyone successfully powdercoated their Mevotech UCA'S ?
If so is there a type off UV resistant powdercoating that will melt and cure at a much lower temperature?
Or does anyone think the 400° temp would not weaken the elastomers?

Thanks for any response!

I'd be afraid of that temperature melting the rubber around the bushing

You don't want to powdercoat them unless you remove all the rubber parts, same thing goes for brake calipers. I would suggest getting a high build enamel sprayed on them instead, you can get the bake-to-cure stuff that needs 250*F and the rubber parts can handle that and it's a lot harder finish than standard spray on enamel.

I used to get it from an industrial paint supply store. I used to use it for painting parts that would be going into some pretty caustic environments in sea-side pulp mills so it's heavy duty stuff.
