Anyone else have this problem? Have around 20,000 miles . Less than a year old. It's doing it in two different spots.

Made by cooper I believe, if you bought locally go back and see what they have to say.

Do you offroad in rock gardens?
Edited: doesn’t look like given the miles vs the edges on the tires as a whole.
Take the truck to a reputable tire shop or the place where you got those and see what the have to say. Sometimes those cuts are cosmetic but better to have them give you a live diagnose.

Update. Contacted the shop that installed the tires and Mickey thompson is replacing the one that split. Bad part is I'm going to replace the other side as I dont want to run a half worn tire and new tire on the same axel. So $318 down but that's better than $650 for two I guess.

If you have an open rear diff, mount it and burn it down so they match on the tread gage.

Update again and I'm slightly hacked with Mickey thompson. I have around half tread left on the tire, so like I said earlier I want to replace both on the front so it still drives straight.

Now my shop is telling me I have to buy both tires at full price and they will send the bad one to Mickey thompson for inspection. Once they decide how much tread is left they will eventually rebate the money to the shop and then the shop will rebate me.

So at this point I'm going to have to drop over $700 on two new tires when I still have over half tread on all 4. Really wasnt budgeting this. The cracks havent gotten any bigger so now I'm considering inspecting the crack all the time and just running it for as long as I can. I like to replace all of my tires at once so I'm hoping to run these this summer and then get something different from nitto or toyo.

Sorry to hear about that. Mickey Thompson are tough tires so i don't know why that one developed those cracks Maybe a manufacturer defect or maybe something the tire caught on the street /trail etc. ? That's also why i buy tire certificates when i buy new, but mostly cause i drive in the dirt on weekends and you never know..., i don't buy certs for any of my cars/suvs that are street only vehicles. So i do that only for the ones i used offroad. I know is not what you want to hear at the moment but maybe something to think about for the next set of 4 or 5.

You're at half life, so you have different options. you could buy 2 new of the same tire and go through their process. but now you have 2 at half life.
or you could buy one used of the same tire from Craiglist/ebay assuming similar wear and assuming you can find it.
Or you could sell the 3 left, and with that money buy 4 used tires from Craiglist/ebay, or buy 4 new tires from anywhere. certs always make sense if youre offroading the truck.

Good luck.

The minor difference in tire diameter is not going to cause your truck to not "drive straight". Where matching tire diameters is important is in AWD vehicles and vehicles that might be in 4WD for a long distance that have a mismatch between front and rear axles. This causes stress in the transfer case.
