Do you know the owner and history of the truck? Tuners on Common Rail trucks are a red flag to me(I know I'll get flamed). CR injectors can give trouble, and the rail relief valve can go bad if they are boosting rail pressure. Does it have the stock intercooler with plastic tanks? If you are cool with all that, 5.9s are bringing amazing money. I foolishly sold my '05 3500 a couple years ago, and it would be worth a lot more today.

I wouldn't, looks like a nice truck but it's nearing 10 years old with 270k on it, my two cents.

I'd be tempted as well, that's a great looking 3500.

I know the 5.9 is a solid engine, but there's a lot that can go wrong at that mileage..and without warranty, they're very expensive to fix, especially in Canada.

That's what my concern would be..if I were in your shoes.

My honest opinion is if you don't need a diesel don't do it way to pricey to repair. It's a good looking truck, I'm not knocking that 3500 but I would rather have a 1500 hemi that's 6 years newer if I didn't have to have a truck that needed a 3000 lb payload or tow 15000lbs.

If you don't need to tow24/7.. not worth the money.. If a Diesel breaks.. and you get out of the shop for under a grand you're doing really good, Hell 1 injector alone is 350$ just for the part, it's all personal prefrence, some people just have to have a diesel, i personally love my 6.4 2500,if it is modded you need to make sure they are good mods and supporting mods were done, " if it has a tunner, did they upgrade the tranny to take the tq/hp?" or are you factoring in a tranny upgrade for 4k in the near future? Unless you know the owner personally, id be cautious. And mind you. the hemi will get better mpg, parts are cheaper, and a few grand and it can be outfitted to tow a lot. my 2 cents

I can attest to a hemi never touching the mileage of a Cummins. Unless you are talking a lifted Cummins vs a 2wd hemi 1500. Would have rather had the Cummins over a 6.4 but I couldn't justify the $9000 upgrade for the rarity I would tow heavy enough to need it.

Mine also pulls to the left a bit..no wobble though. Could be my stock tires, they're pretty much done..I'm just under 74000 kms. I'm throwing on Firestone Destination ATs 285/70R/17 tomorrow, I'll let you know if that makes a difference.

Good choice on keeping it IMO.
It looks well maintained, but the woner may be willing to let it go before it starts falling apart.

as promised, here's an update, got the new tires on.

been driving around all morning before work, the pull to the left is gone. it feels nice and tight again, not to mention aggressive 33s look a lot better than factory 31s.

if you have the factory tires with high km, perhaps look into replacing them.
