Over 200,000 miles on my 2004 Ram 1500 with the Hemi, very little repairs to engine. Water pump, oil changes, splugs and fuel. Had it for 10 years and no engine troubles yet. Would gladly buy another third gen ram hemi in a second.

My 2002 1500 Quadcab 4x4 with 5.9 gas motor has 290,000 miles on her. I had transmission rebuilt at 150,000. I bought this in the fall of 2002. It had 20,000 on it. I am the second owner. I wish the AC would work half decent but it has always been a dog. I will begin towing a 26 foot Keystone Summerland travel trailer starting in April. Not sure how many more miles she will go.

Old 03 just rolled over 164,000 last night. Might hit 200k before that 6.1 gets to go in lol.

2002 5.9 118k, but of course the way I drove it, was probably more like 500k :)

185k 04.5 Cummins, 6 spd, 4x4. Bought new in June 2004. Had limited slip installed in rear after a couple years, and replaced front seats with unit from 2002 1500 to get full power adjustment for drivers side.

Just want to get a feel on how reliable are your Gen 3's. I have a 2004 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi. One year ago at 205,000 miles my timing belt broke and I rebuilt the engine. Now at 215,000 miles I have a grinding noise that my mechanic says is coming from my transmission. I pull a travel trailer occasionally and I pull a medium size maintenance trailer often. I change my fluids at regular intervals and I do not abuse my vehicle. I do live in Arizona and when I pull my travel trailer it is usually through mountainous or hilly locations.

When I read some post people brag about getting +300k miles. Like I said earlier I do not abuse my truck other than pulling trailers. Should I be happy to have gotten +200K miles before major repairs?

My truck has been wonderful. At 127K I had no issues either. Shortly after that I replaced a pinion gear in the rear end. But no real issues until 205K. I suggest you have your timing chain checked prior to 200K. There is a gear in there that goes bad. I won't spend the kind of money needed for a new truck so I will keep my Ram going. It has never really left me stranded. It always gives me a sign that something is wrong. My truck still looks good, rides goods and runs strong.

I’d be tickled as a 3 petered puppy! Still haven’t been in the engine and hope I don’t ever have to. New hub and axle assemblies qualify as a “major repair” ?
