Just got back from a 100 mile drive to scout a hunting area. on the way there driving slightly above the posted 65MPH I got 16.8. On the 100 miles back to my house I milked the crap out of the truck staying in ECO mode as much as possible between 55-65 MPH, averaged 20.2

I was a bit bummed when I saw all of the fuel-efficient improvements they were making on the 2013s after only having my 2012 for a few weeks, but my mileage has started improving since I got my Hemifever custom tune on the Trinity and Moe's Performance 87 PTB installed. Glad to hear you're enjoying your new Ram! Still on my first tank since these were installed, but looking for good things despite a few WOT runs, you know, for datalogging's sake ;)

forgot to mention tank was a mix on 87 and 91 half/half... I may just buy the tuner when they come out for the 2013. I wish there was a way they could combine it with the 8.4an display... that would be SICK!

I have had the truck just over 2 weeks, and already put 1600 miles on her.

There are many who say the engines get broken in at the factory before it leaves which is considered standard on most modern engines while there are those who baby them the first 500 miles, and then those who feel they aren't truly broken in for several thousand miles. I babied mine per the owners manual as much as I could for the first 500 miles, but sometimes you just have to drop the hammer. Many have gotten their Rams and driven them like they were stolen with no ill effects. I want to say that someone posted that the engines are in fact broken in at the factory and that the first 500 miles thing is something they put in there for liability.

The engine are "broken in" technically. No need to run at certain rpm for designated amounts of time. They are done that way before install on the assembly line. They have different fuel curves set up at different intervals though.
