Mirror hyperflashing anyone have a solution?

I have a set of lights with diode dynamic boards and of course my luck is that the mirrors hyperflash. It's all installed correctly and DD even has a disclaimer on their website for the product which reads

"NOTE - Some Ram trucks will experience hyper-flashing in side mirrors because of a very picky CANBUS system."

Has anyone figured out how to get rid of this? My turn signals work perfectly fine on the headlights and tail lights it's literally just the side mirrors and my dash says both my headlight blinkers are out.

I'm guessing some type of load resistors will remedy this but before I take this on and end up ruining something I was wondering if anyone had a solution to this?

Did your truck come with oem projectors from the factory? If not, are you using the Retroshop adapter harness?

Hmm... weird. I added them (tyc replicas) and I have the diode dynamics switchback led boards in mine, but I don't have the turn/puddle mirrors. I actually have a pair of them sitting in my shed waiting for me to put them on. I plan to do that this weekend. If I run into a similar issue I will let you know.

I think it's a hit or miss because the CANBUS systems in our trucks are so picky.

I'm gonna buy resistors I'm just unsure if I should tap into PIN 12 or 14 on the harness to fix the problem (12 is turn signal and 14 is the fault sense)

The tap for the switchbacks goes to 14 which is the fault sense. When I remove the tap the blinkers don't work at all, so I know the tap is properly connected.

Mine just recently started or should I state the " drivers side ) has been doing it lately. Looks like I'm coming in from a concert when I park. Honestly I just chalked it up to the fact that I've got over 187,000 miles on the truck and they are worn. Maybe I'll grab a set of tow with puddle lights mirrors and see if it does the same thing.

Diode sent me hyperflash modules specifically made for our trucks. They aren’t on their website, but if you have that problem they will send them to you. You have to splice 3 wires into your factory harness, but it works flawlessly!

Hi, I just own a 2014 5.7 HEMI RAM and I experience the same problem : front and rear blinkers OK but mirrors blinkers hyperflash with an error message on the EVIC (right rear blinker lamp to be replaced)

Could you please tell me how to proceed ? I've heard about CANBUS ERROR FREE LEDS...

Hey I got a 2018 ram 2500 with projector and drls from factory but I customized my headlights with switchbacks n halos. Now I have a message saying I have left turn signal out n a annoying hyper-flash on my mirror turn signal. Front and back work normal it’s just my mirror light that has hyper-flash. Any idea how I can fix that?? Thank you
